The leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters, a far-left South African political party, Julius Malema, has weighed in on Bobi Wine's presidential ambitions saying nature is on his side.
Nature is on Bobi Wine's side, Museveni must go and rest his oversized suits - Julius Malema
EFF leader Julius Malema says Bobi Wine, 36, is an inspiration in challenging the status quo
Malema said it's time for President Kaguta Museveni, Uganda's president since 1986, to go and rest his oversized suits.
"Bobi Wine is an enemy of the old man in Uganda... Museveni must go, he must go and also rest his oversized suits as well. He is a big problem."
The 37-year-old made the remarks on Wednesday while briefing the press in South Africa ahead of the launch of EFF party manifesto.
The former president of the African National Congress Youth League described the Ugandan musician-turned-MP as 'an inspiration' -- likening him to Nelson Chamisa, an enthusiastic 40-year-old Zimbabwean politician who lost to Ed Mnangagwa in last year's presidential elections.
"Bobi Wine is an inspiration, he is like Nelson Chamisa...The ability of the young to stand up is an inspiration for us.
"We want to inspire Africans to challenge the status quo. Bobi Wine is a brother to us, we want him to find more and shouldn't be discouraged by the old man."
Nature is on Bobi Wine's side
The South African MP echoed hope onto the People Power supporters when he said nature will resolve Museveni -- who will 75 this year.
He urged Wine to continue fighting even if he doesn't win through democratic process because 'age is on his side'.
"Age is on his side, even if he doesn't win against this dictatorship, nature will resolve his problem soon...There is no old man who is going to win against the youths...Bobi Wine has got age on his side."
